  • Going overbudget & over timeline
How Does Best Homes Pre-Construction process save me time & money?

Mr. + Mrs. Smith have chosen to work with Best Homes to design & build their home.

This exciting undertaking starts with our Pre-Construction process, where their wants, needs and budget are all brought together to create their own unique home & budget proposal.

Here's what the Smith's will get with their Pre-Construction package:

  • Virtual tour of finalized floor plans
  • A permit ready set of those floor plans (Blueprints)
  • An expected rough valuation of their home, with the options they personally selected
  • A final costing proposal & build plan (schedule), with the options they selected

During the Pre-Construction process the Smith's were able to share what relaxed, motivated and drove them. Taking the time to understand those things, we were able to offer them a uniquely personalized solution to their wants & needs, while meeting their budget.

By the end of the Pre-Construction process the Smith's had everything they needed to get permitting and start their build with any contractor, & the knowledge to know what the expected costs and options they wanted should be.

What Is An Investment Analysis?

Do you know what your home build is going to appraise at?

Knowing that simple thing can make all the difference when considering where to build, or what to include in your home when making decisions. Rather than making decisions based on your thoughts, you could ask this instead:

  • Do you know what would increase your home's value?
  • Do you know if you will have built-in equity?
  • Can spending a little less, or more, on this item make a huge difference?

These are the kinds of questions that an informed home buyer would be able to answer yes to.

Using our proprietary algorithm, we are able to assess the rough estimated value of your home before you build, because we believe that an informed buyer is an empowered buyer...

How Long Does A Home Build Usually Take?

It truly depends upon how large a project we are talking about. But, most homes within the $250,000 - $750,000 mark will take an average of 6 - 12 months with a knowledgeable contractor.

When considering the timeframe of your build, you should consider the following:

  • Does your contractor have a Project Management department?
  • Are you completely happy with your floor plans, and feel that you can visualize them well?
  • Is your contractor well-connected to a network of reputable and efficient contractors, who will show up on time & deliver quality work?

If you don't know the answer to these questions, or are uncertain, you could be looking at a contractor who will take longer on your build or cost you more, because of inefficiency and poor planning..
